writing

So this week, we had to write speeches, here is a paragraph of mine.

1,400,000,000. That's a really big number, yeah? One-point-four-billion. That is how many people have a severe or underlying health condition. That number is nearly fifth of the world's population. That number is how many people are at severe risk of Covid-19 right now.

In places more advanced, such as Europe and North America, people will not be affected by this, but in places like Central Africa, or more specifically, the Central African Republic, or C.A.R for short, citizens have a much, much, much higher risk of being born, or being diagnosed with a Health Condition later in their life, and most people don’t even realise, or care to do anything about it.

Most people in the third world die at an age lower than 60, because they are still so underdeveloped despite being over 60 years old, but in some cases, places like South Sudan, a country only 11 years old, deal with it so early in their life as a country.

Have you ever written a speech ?

Reading WS

In reading this week, we looked at persuasive texts and how... well 'presuasive' they were and how we interpreted them in our lives, the text we read was about how Robots could affect us in the future, for it we had to create a conversation, but I don't have a copy and the audio is busted, so... thats unlucky (Insert sad face)

Overall, I think this was a good thing to learn, due to the fact that we are going to do speeches later in the term and speechs to to be...well persuasive.

Have you ever convinced some one of something and changed their perspective of something?
